How to clean your SILGRANIT sink

SILGRANIT sinks are fade, stain, chip and scratch-resistant, making them very easy to clean. However, like any heavy-duty kitchen fixture— they may show traces of wear over time. For a daily clean, mix water with soap and scrub gently with a sponge. Be sure to dry off the sink when you’re finished, this will prevent surface stains and water spots from forming.

How to remove stains from a SILGRANIT sink?

Stubborn stains can be removed by pouring a little warm vinegar or vinegar-based cleaner into the sink and allowing it to sit for a few minutes. Rinse with clean water and dry.

Food stains – depending on the severity of the stain, use a bleach water solution or pour the bleach onto a cloth and cover the stain. Allow the bleach to sit for at least 1/2 hour and then clean with dish detergent and water.

How to deep clean a SILGRANIT sink?

You can use dishwasher tablets for deep cleaning: fill 1–3 cm of hot water into the bowl, dissolve a tablet overnight. In the morning, scrub with scotch-brite nylon pad and thoroughly rinse with dish soap and water. Magic eraser will also help in removing stubborn stains.

How to get rid of scuff marks on a SILGRANIT sink?

Scrubbing marks with baking soda and water with the rough side of a sponge will remove most stains and scuff marks leftover from pots and pans. Keep applying baking soda and a bit of water as you continue to scrub – you may need to scrub hard for several minutes, but most marks can be lifted this way!

Restrictions for SILGRANIT sinks.

DO NOT use strong abrasive cleaners, metal scrub pads or steel wool. These will scratch and dull the surface of the sink.

DO NOT pour paint in your sink. The chemicals in acrylic paint will react with SILGRANIT sinks if allowed to sit over 24 hours and will produce permanent marks.
